Great question—issuing refunds is (largely) no different after installing Rally.
Rally doesn't act as your payment processor. We just integrate with your payment processor.
If you have not changed payment processors since implementing Rally, you should see no changes to your refund flow at all.
Occasionally, merchants switch payment processors to use Rally, or have switched processors fairly recently, unrelated to Rally implementation. If this is the case for you, please see below!

One thing to keep in mind... if you used a different payment processor at one point, or perhaps switched payment processors to use Rally, you may notice that shoppers who purchased prior to switching to your current process require a quick extra step to submit the refund.
We recommend keeping track of the date you switched payment processors. If you notice that someone requesting a refund placed an order before that date, you'll likely need to refund them from within your previous payment processor rather than via your ecommerce platform.
